At least 13 people were killed and thousands more affected by floods in northern Bangladesh.  Local media reports say heavy rains triggered flash floods across 10 districts in northern Bangladesh on Sunday (August 13) and the water is spreading to the country's central districts. The floods submerged train tracks, villages and towns, inundating homes. The local Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre was reported as saying if rains continue until the end of August at least 25 districts across the country will be affected by September.
