France says it is ready to provide Tunisia with more than $338 million in New financing as it seeks to bolster Tunis’s ailing economy and its transition to democracy following months of civil unrest triggered by unemployment. France has already pledged 1.2 billion euros in aid from 2016-2020. The packages include youth entrepreneurship and digital initiatives, the establishment of a Franco-Tunisia University for Africa, and funding for the reform of public institutions.
