Residents in Ramallah City have expressed cautious optimism over reconciliation agreement reached by Palestinian rival movements Fatah and Hamas. The two movements agreed on a complete handover of Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip to Fatah by Dec.1 to enable the consensus government under Fatah to have full control of the enclave. Despite the two movements committing to overcoming bitter differences and working toward statehood, some are voicing their doubts on whether reconciliation will really last.
