Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta unveiled the Nairobi-Naivasha railway line built and financed by the Chinese, over a period of 21 months. In his address Kenyatta described the project as a shining example of Kenya-China cooperation.  The standard gauge railway will link the country’s capital Nairobi to the resort town of Naivasha. The second phase linking Nairobi and the border with Uganda is also under construction at a cost of 150 billion Kenyan shillings.
