50 companies have pledged over 109.6 billion rands at yesterday’s South African Investment Conference.With this year’s conference taking place in an extremely subdued economic climate, President Ramaphosa said securing investment commitments of over R100 billion is a remarkable achievement. The investments have come from various sectors which include Anglo African Metal committing to invest 280 million rands in the beneficiation of titanium. Bradley Aviation has pledged 244 million rand in the aeronautical sector in Gauteng. Unica also committed R250 million towards expanding its manufacturing capacity of steel blitz. While Dangold Packaging is investing R830 million in a beverage canning plant.
