The Government of South Africa has decided to extend the current state of disaster until October 15. Currently, the nation is on lockdown level 2 and there has been indication that there could be a move to level 1, which is expected to be announced soon. This is to continue giving effect to the regulations that remain relevant to manage the spread of Covid-19 infections. President Cyril Ramaphosa has indicated that South Africans can look forward to more announcements in the next few days.
